It's been said before, but it bears repeating; I don't know these guys. Whatever you may glean from these stories, it's all a pack of damn lies.

A short history of my obsession: Sometime in the summer of 2000, I randomly turned on HBO and saw the better part of a show called *NSYNC: Live From Madison Square Garden. It had fireworks, lasers, a scary clown mask whose presence I still find baffling, a sea of screaming women and girls, and five rather dorky boys wearing the oddest assortment of costumes (exhibit A: one [1] bedazzled bandana) while dancing, singing and running about on a very large stage.

"huh. Weird," I said. A scant four months later I had written the first of the stories below. I'm blaming JC, myself.

Many of these were written in the first year or so of my involvement in the fandom--the most recent stuff is at the top. Most of them are less than 5000 words.

spy!sync, aka mission 'npossible. (Sometimes I think this is a bit like calling the Hardy Boys "international men of mystery", but then I picture Chris in a black leather jacket, and my faith is restored.) Guns, explosions, disguises, sex, and if I could arrange for it, there'd be cheesy Lalo Schifrin theme music, too. (JC/Joey, Chris/Justin. Adult content.)

{posted 01 Feb, 2004: the commentary track. inspired by a meme currently going around livejournal, which is a working definition of "fannish ephemera". it was fun for me, but I make no promises to anyone else.}
